When the Yan and Wei states were at war, Yuwen Long, the deputy general of the Yan state, was too eager for glory and made a rash advance, and was captured alive by the Wei state. The Yan state dispatched General Yun Jingchu to negotiate peace. Relying on his prestige on the battlefield, Yun Jingchu maximized the bargaining chips and interests of the Yan state in the peace negotiation. After returning to the capital from the peace negotiation, Yun Jingchu found himself being slandered. Even his former fiancé, influenced by the rumors, made things difficult for him in every possible way and he was subjected to humiliation.
