There, she fell head over heels for the unknown Ben Harrison. She hid her true identity, married Ben, and secretly helped his company become a rising star in Maplewood. After marriage, Laura worked as a cleaner at Sheppard Group and helped the group's CEO, Bryan Shepherd, resolve a business crisis.
