10/24/08 HALLOWEEN SHOW AT THE PARAMOUNT THEATRE
Ballard, Washington's Kate Tucker and The Sons of Sweden are thrilled to announce they've been chosen to open for legendary Northwest garage punk icons The Sonics for a special Halloween performance. The band will be in full costume and has a few surprises in store for their fans that night. The five-piece are currently in New York City following their CMJ Music Festival appearance and will be announcing more dates shortly.

5/28/08 Ball of Wax Release!
"Roman Candles," a song we recorded last summer at Bear Creek Studio with Lucas Carlyle is featured on Ball of Wax Vol 12. We're excited to be playing the CD release party tonight at the Sunset in Ballard, WA. Ball of Wax Vol 12 features 21 previously unreleased songs by Pacific Northwest artists. 5/27/08 Official Music Video for "Everything Went Down"
We've finally finished our first Sons of Sweden music video! "Everything Went Down" was directed by Miriam Bennett and shot live on location at the Act Theatre during our record release show. You can watch it on our site, at youtube.com. For you traditionalists, MTV should be featuring it soon, so hang on! 5/08 Performing Songwriter DIY Pick Performing Songwriter has chosen us as one of their top DIY artists for May 2008!

5/21/08 "Everything Went Down" Music Video Premiere
You're invited to the music video release party for Everything Went Down, directed by Miriam Bennett, on Wednesday, May 21 at Musica in Akron, OH. Kate will perform solo following the video premiere. The video will be released online May 20, 2008.

5/13/08 East Coast Mini Tour Kicks Off
We're venturing out to play a few shows for our friends on the eastern seaboard. Kate's playing Liberated Matter's Cross-Pollination night at Pianos on Tuesday, May 13. On Friday, May 16, the whole band joins her to play at Pete's Candy Store in Brooklyn. We'll play our first Manhattan show Saturday, May 17 at The Living Room. Hope to see you out and about this week.

4/08 Say Love wins Music Video Award, Featured on Paste
Hooray!! Say Love won #1 Music Video on Ourstage.com for February 2008. Paste Magazine featured it as their Video of the Day on April 18, 2008. The music video for Say Love, from Kate's solo EP Eros Turannos, was directed by Miriam Bennett. You can watch it in hi def here .
